- Spoiler:
- The 2002 film “Enough” starring Jennifer Lopez starts off in a little San Francisco restaurant. The main character Slim is almost sucked into the insincere flirtation of a no good customer, when she is rescued by what seems to be the perfect guy, Mitch. Slim marries Mitch and has what she thinks is a perfect life with her dream home and beautiful daughter named Gracie. A few years later Slim finds out that Mitch is sleeping with other women when she gets a call from a current mistress looking for Mitch. When Slim confronts Mitch and threatens to leave Mitch starts abusing her and threatens her, using Gracie as leverage. A few days later Slim plans her escape to leave and take Gracie. With the help of friends she succeeds although attacked and nearly killed by Mitch in the process. Throughout the rest of the movie Mitch tracks down Slim and Gracie. Having had "enough" Slim learns to fight back with the help of a man that her long lost father had found to train her. Slim later tracks down Mitch’s new place of residence and traps him in his own home. Mitch puts up a good fight but Slim is well trained and uses the love of her daughter and anger from the abuse to finally kill him. With Mitch gone Slim and her daughter Gracie go on to live a happy life.
